Fundraiser (Role Description)

Role Title:

Where: 25 – 27 Old Park Lane

SK11 6TJ

01625 424717

Flexible unfixed hours

Your role:

Our self advocacy group for adults with learning disabilities is looking for more people to join in our fundraising – come & join us & have fun at the same time.  Help plan fun and interesting events and activities in the Macclesfield area.

This role is hugely important in raising much needed funds for the group but also importantly it offers the opportunity to raise awareness about learning disability issues and the work we do.

Although not always working directly with members with learning disabilities, you can expect some interaction with people who use our service, and training and support will be provided for this aspect of the role.

What can we offer you?

The project will provide a supportive and friendly environment in which to volunteer.  You will be contributing your time and skills to an exciting, new and important   community project, which could have a real impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities in the Macclesfield area.

We offer flexible hours and the reimbursement of expenses. Training and on-going support will be given along with the opportunity for further future training.

As well as offering the opportunities to make a difference and add real value to a new and developing community service, this role will also enable you to meet a wide range of new people and make new friends, developing your confidence and abilities whilst learning new skills.

What commitment would we like from you?

By the nature of the role, hours required will be flexible, and while we would hope could commit to the role for 12 months, 6 months would be acceptable.

All roles are subject to a Disclosure and Barring scheme check
