01625 424717

When:  Some Evenings and the occasional weekends.

Your role:   Friendly, patient volunteers are invited to join our group to support members on a whole range events and trips out in the community.   You will be supporting adults with   learning disabilities – a group of people often excluded in society – to enjoy   and take part in lots of everyday activities in their local community, such   as bowling, pub visits, sports, meals, walks, visits, art and photography.

Your support will also enable them to develop confidence and life skills, and will really make a difference to the lives of people who are often overlooked.

What can we offer you?   The project will provide a supportive and friendly environment in which to volunteer.   You will be contributing your time and skills to an exciting, new and important community project, which could have a real impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities in the Macclesfield area.

We offer flexible hours and the reimbursement of expenses. Training and on-going   support will be given along with the opportunity for further future training.

We welcome those who would like to share their interests with others and participate in new activities out and about.  As well as offering the opportunities to make a difference and add real value to a new and developing community service, this role will also enable you to meet a wide range of new people and make new friends, developing your confidence and abilities whilst learning new skills.

What commitment would we like from you?  We anticipate that this role will require a commitment of 3-4 hours fortnightly.
Notes:  All roles are subject to Disclosure and Barring Scheme checks.
