We all had an amazing day on Sunday at Wembley. The coach set off at 9am so we all had an early start but everyone was in very high spirits and excited for the game.

We arrived in sunny London at 1pm and went for some lunch and had a look around Wembley. There was a sea of blue everywhere with everyone wearing their Macclesfield Town football shirts.

The game was great with everyone singing and cheering on the Silkmen. At the end of the first half Macc scored with a Oly Norburn screamer to make it 2-2 at half time.  We were all buzzing!  However, no more goals were scored until right at the end of the game with York scoring in the 86th minute. The last few minutes were very tense however there just wasn’t enough time for the Silkmen to pull it back. The game ended 3-2, to York however Macclesfield Town played excellent and the whole game was enjoyed by everyone.

On the way home, we were a little down hearted, but the Silkmen had done us proud and we had all had a great day in Wembley.

Special thanks to Paul at Stoke Coaches for getting us all back home safely.
